Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that more than 200 Ukrainian military experts have been sent to the Gulf region to assist countries in defending against Iranian-made “Shahed” attack drones, according to multiple news reports.

Zelenskyy said these specialists, experienced in counter‑drone operations from Ukraine’s own conflict, are already in nations including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, with others on the way to Kuwait.

The deployment aims to help partner countries strengthen defenses amid rising drone threats linked to the ongoing war involving Iran.
