Shocking News: Jason Kelce reveals Mind Blowing Thing why Taylor Swift is the real reason Travis and the Chiefs keep winning… Read more
Jason Kelce believes the reason the Kansas City Chiefs can’t stop winning is not the coaching, or their star players… but instead Taylor Swift.
The pop icon, and girlfriend of the team’s tight end Travis Kelce, is a regular attendee at games – and Jason believes that she is having more impact on results than many believe.
In the latest episode of the brothers’ New Heights podcast, the pair had a discussion over why the Chiefs hold an 11-1 record this season, starting serious and then entering bizarre territory.
Eventually Jason settled on his reason, referencing the 1994 movie ‘Angels In The Outfield’, in which a baseball team keep winning due to a series of seemingly-freak occurrences that are actually orchestrated by – you guessed it – a group of angels in the outfield.
On New Heights, he said: ‘You guys are the angels in the outfield… there’s some unknown…’ before Travis jumped in to respond: ‘Here you go with this Tay-voodoo s***. This guy’s such a d***head!’
The idea of ‘Tay-voodoo’ is not a new one, and has been discussed online by Swifties for months, and Travis mentioning it on the podcast – perhaps understandably – send Taylor’s fans wild.
Like it was obvious to me that tayvoodoo & tayblessings were known about by many people,’ one wrote, ‘but i’m taking this as an actual confirmation that tay is seeing all our jokes omg.’
Another added: ‘Of course Jason Kelce believes in tayvoodoo. Travis get on board ITS REAL.’
Before the conversation had descended into talk of angels and voodoo, Jason had earlier revealed his genuine thoughts on the Chiefs’ season, following their improbable win over the Raiders on Black Friday.
‘One of the big reasons you’ve only lost one game, is that you guys are just very very smart in the critical moments,’ he said to brother Travis.
‘Why are you guys able to close out these games? Do you have an explanation for everybody who is asking these same questions on every sports show? We just regurgitate the fact that you guys find a way to win… is there something more to it?
Travis then responded: ‘You can call it luck, you can call it fortune, you can call it guys just playing their asses off until the last second is off that clock.
‘We know a lot of weird s*** happens in this league. I think both sides of the ball do a great job, the coaches do a great job of making sure the players know how wacky things happen in this league.
‘We’ve seen a lot of the weirdest s*** happen, I think it’s just coincidence that we’ve seen a lot of it happen this year just to us. Typically, just on the offensive side, we’ll watch every college football game, every two-minute from the NFL every single week, and we’ll get caught up on what’s possible.
When you understand the possibilities, and you start to become more familiar with, “man, anything really can f***ing happen if we keep playing hard until the end of the game no matter what’s happened.” If there is still a chance on that board, you keep playing, man.’
