Travis Kelce returned to practice for the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday – while girlfriend Taylor Swift played a huge show in Scotland as her Eras Tour made its first stop in the United Kingdom.
For Kelce, it was poignant mood around the Chiefs camp after his teammate, BJ Thompson, went into cardiac arrest at a team meeting on Thursday after having a seizure. Thompson, 25, is said to be awake and responsive now in hospital. The Chiefs canceled Thursday’s practice in the aftermath of the shocking events unfolding.
Kelce, 34, was pictured along with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City on Friday. Next week, the Chiefs will hold a mandatory minicamp from June 11-13 as the Super Bowl champions step up their preparations for the new season. With his football commitments stepping up again, Kelce has less time to accompany Swift as she tours Europe – with her current run of dates going through to August 20 across the continent.
