Princess Kate’s ‘Pitch Perfect’ Fashion Moments Caught on Camera

Since her marriage in 2011, Princess Kate has become one of the most celebrated women in the world in terms of her style. Whether she’s dressing for an important royal ceremony or a casual outing with her family, what Kate wears is eagerly studied by fans and the fashion press.

Despite spending over two decades in the public eye, having first been publicly identified as Prince William’s girlfriend by the media in 2004, Kate has not discussed her style in interviews or during official engagements, meaning that what can be understood about her aesthetic has been gleaned purely from what she wears when.

Known best for her love of tailoring, block colors and sparkling embellishments, Kate has not only followed trends but inspired them too.

Since the beginning of 2024, Kate has stepped out of the public eye while undergoing health challenges. In March the princess announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. She made two official appearances over the summer and in September announced that she had completed her treatment and hoped to undertake more work when she felt able throughout the rest of the year.

In the absence of new regular appearances, fans have taken to social media to share highlights from past engagements and events, many of which have featured iconic outfits.

Uploaded to TikTok by user, luguape4, on September 11, a compilation of footage taken from some of Kate’s high profile royal engagements has gone viral, gaining over 100,000 views on the platform so far.

Included in the footage are clips taken from the time of King Charles III’s coronation in 2023. The princess began the weekend of celebrations wearing a white Jenny Packham dress with black piping to meet fans who were lining the streets of London to catch a glimpse of the historic events. The dress is similar to one which was worn by Kate to attend the Trooping the Colour events in June 2024.

Also included in the viral post is footage of Kate wearing a series of her famous coat dresses in a rainbow of different colors, many of which were designed by the fashion house of Catherine Walker & Co. The house was formerly a favorite of the late Princess Diana.
