The Kansas City Chiefs are 4-0, but even a perfect record can’t keep fans from being extremely worried about the team as a whole. The defense is playing as good or even better than last season, which is a great sign. The offense, on the other hand, has been a disaster. And it might get even worse.
After suffering injuries to starters Marquise Brown and Isiah Pacheco, the team lost star wideout Rashee Rice in the win over the Los Angeles Chargers, on an unfortunate play. Rice was the team’s leading receiver and arguably their best player so far this season. They will need other pass-catchers to step up, but fans have taken the liberty to find the perfect replacement: Taylor Swift.
One fan got very creative, making an AI-generated video clip of Swift catching a pass from Patrick Mahomes, breaking a tackle and speeding to the end zone. Even the commentator mentions “Taylor is gonna finish it“.
Travis Kelce loves playing the Chargers
The play is actually from the 2022 season, in a Sunday Night Football matchup between the Chiefs and Chargers. Travis Kelce was the one who made the play, a 32-yard catch and run for the score.
The Chiefs will need Kelce to channel his younger self as they continue to suffer losses on the offensive side of the ball. A couple more injuries on offense and Swift may actually have to throw on the pads.
