When Travis Kelce started dating Taylor Swift in 2023, Kayla Nicole, his former girlfriend, stayed completely silent.

Unfortunately, social media trolls, comparing her looks to the pop star, brought an unwarranted amount of hate her way, and it basically took on a life of its own in the past year.

Kayla Nicole did an interview with WNBA star Angel Reese on the “Unapologetically Angel” podcast. In it, she pointed out how the negativity she gets from Taylor Swift’s fans has impacted her life.

“I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and online chaos doesn’t impact me. “It does, even to this day,” she told Reese. “You can go to my most recent post and there will be people debating each other why I am worthless and I’ll never be a talented person and I have no career.”

Nicole doesn’t understand where the hate comes from and points to the “level of fame that attracts crazy people.”

“I haven’t done anything to warrant that backlash,” she said.

Kelce and Nicole split in 2022 after being in an on-again, off-again relationship since 2017.

“You can go to my most recent [social media] post and it will be people debating each other why I am worthless and I’ll never be a talented person and I have no career.”

The influencer appeared on WNBA star Reese’s podcast to finally speak in depth about her past relationship for the first time since they broke up and since he began dating Taylor Swift.

While Kelce’s romance with Swift continues to dominate headlines, the 35-year-old’s ex-girlfriend had to clarify some things.

When it came to the rumors that she and Kelce broke up because he insisted that they split the bills 50/50, Nicole couldn’t help but laugh. “That was ridiculous,” she said.

“Yeah, that was never an issue in our relationship, but it was definitely a rumor on the internet,” the model explained
