Kim Kardashian Purposely Embarrasses Her Kids by Using New Slang Wrong — Here’s What It Really Means
There are a few different kinds of parents out there. There are those who know the newest slang and use it correctly, those who have no idea what the new words mean, those who do know the meaning and choose to use them incorrectly, and those who are so out of touch that they’re still using words like “groovy.”
In a new teaser for The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian admitted that she falls into the third category: knowing full well what something means and going rogue anyway. Specifically with the intent to embarrass her kids North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, who she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.
The SKIMS founder said her kids use the word “gyatt.”
“So I was like, ‘Guys, we’re late, we’ve gyatt to go,’” she said with a laugh. “And they were like, ‘You’re so embarrassing!’”
Because no, “gyatt,” is not a drawn-out way to say “got.” “Gyatt means ‘a big butt.’” (Kinda like that thing of hers that broke the internet way back when … )
And where exactly did Kardashian learn this? On TikTok. (Because, yeah, that’s pretty much where all new slang is born and dispersed nowadays.) And honestly, we’re giving a round of applause to the TV personality for playing it this way. It’s not every day that you can control when and how you embarrass your kids, but it’s always fun to see the jaw drop and the cheeks redden. So good for her for doing it on her own terms. Because let’s be real, even if she did use it correctly on the first try, they would have been embarrassed that she was trying to be cool.
