Known for largely staying out of politics, Swift took a different stance after Trump’s 2016 election. Endorsing Harris, Swift said she was a “steady-handed, gifted leader”. She signed it “Childless Cat Lady” – a jab at Trump’s running mate JD Vance, who previously used the term against Democrats. Swift said that it was Trump’s use of her fake photos to show her endorsing him that made her support Harris.
