Watch the AI video of Taylor Swift playing for the Chiefs
AI receives its fair share of criticism but this was an example of the technology used at its silly, entertaining best. Swift appears transposed over a real highlight of Kelce, high stepping into the end zone and drawing a huge reaction from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Even the broadcast audio is altered to shout her name as she scores the touchdown, with the announcer screaming “Taylor’s gonna finish it!”
The AI video generated over 2 million views on X, formerly Twitter. As always, a few salty NFL fans bemoaned Swift’s presence, but the majority of responses enjoyed the ridiculous mashup. “Taylor’s got that dawg in her,” echoed one popular refrain in the comments.
When will Swift return to a Chiefs game?
It was not the only piece of good news involving Swift and Kelce lately. After weeks apart, fans of the iconic Tayvis couple discovered that their reunion is in sight as the NFL season approaches.
Swift’s Eras Tour schedule suggests that her next opportunity to support No. 87 would be at the season opening game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens on September 5th. There’s even some new personal decor waiting for her in the Kelce suite at Arrowhead Stadium.
Her presence at games seemed to bring Kansas City good luck last year, but after seeing this video, fans might have fantasies of a more active role for Swift on the field.
