Andy Reid celebrated the Chiefs’ Week 17 win and clinching No. 1 seed in the best way
The Kansas City Chiefs completed their tortuous schedule of playing three games in 11 days by sweeping the competition and clinching the number one seed on Christmas Day. The Chiefs knocked off the Steelers by a score of 29 to 10 and will now be able to rest their starters until mid-January.
Andy Reid was definitely in the Christmas spirit following his team’s double-digit win and made sure to celebrate the holidays with his players in the locker room after the game. As the players were waiting for Reid to come in and address the team, Santa Claus entered instead but looked and sounded a lot like Reid.

The Chiefs had to play their second straight Christmas Day game and this year’s went so much better than last year’s did. The offense scored 29 points while the defense only surrendered 10 points. It’s not hard to notice that the Chiefs appear to be peaking at the perfect time and this is what this team does: They kick things into high gear this time of year and get right just in time for the playoffs.
Now that Reid and his Chiefs are 15-1 and the guaranteed number one seed for the playoffs, the players can rest up during the Week 18 finale in Denver and will have the wild card round off in the postseason.
Considering the injuries this team has dealt with, having time off for them to rest up and get as healthy as possible will be beneficial to this team as they strive to win three straight Super Bowls.
