Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is celebrating another trip to the Super Bowl but is far from satisfied after defeating the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game. In his postgame press conference, he corrected reporters, focusing on details over just motivation to win in the crucial moments.

“I think motivation is the wrong word, or I’m just changing that for you. So I would tell you we’re motivated like crazy to win the game. That’s what you’re motivated to do.” said Reid. “You get caught up in that other stuff, all the hype that goes with it, and then you forget about third and one in detail, in that, either side of the ball.”

The Chiefs will play in their fifth Super Bowl in six years, taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on February 9th. The good vibes from winning at Arrowhead Stadium are appreciated, but the job is far from being done.

I mean, it’s great,” said Reid. “Nothing like doing it with your home fans, but it’s going to come down to a football game, and the team that prepares and makes the least amount of mistakes will come out, you know, the victor, so you make sure that you keep your head right and bear down and do the right things.”

Reid is seeking his fourth Super Bowl title, and the Chiefs want to make NFL history with an unprecedented third consecutive title.
