Breaking News:Why Travis Kelce must leave Taylor Swift for some time and how long they’ll be separated, and why the Chiefs Star is running out of time
Travis Kelce appeared on stage during Taylor Swift’s concert in London – and the Kansas City Chiefs has under a month left to spend by his girlfriend’s side.
On Sunday, Kelce appeared on stage and mimed alongside Swift while assisting her costume change during her Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium. The moment was widely celebrated by Swift’s legion of fans around the world, with the NFL star becoming an adored figure as a result of their relationship.
Kelce and Swift went public with their relationship back in September, when she attended the win over the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead. She supported him throughout the 2023 season, all the way to the Chiefs hoisting the Lombardi Trophy after their Super Bowl LVIII triumph.
But the pair have been separated as Swift enjoys her global Eras Tour. She missed the Chiefs being awarded their Super Bowl rings, sending a message of congratulations to Kelce and his teammates on an Instagram livestream after playing a concert in Liverpool.
While Kelce has now taken a hands-on approach to Swift’s tour, their available time together is running out. After completing mandatory minicamp earlier this month, Kelce must return to practice on July 21 with fans in the stands as the Chiefs eye a third successive Super Bowl victory.
Before the end of July, Swift will play shows in Dublin in Ireland, Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Zurich in Switzerland, Milan in Italy, and finally the last stop ahead of that date – Gelsenkirchen in Germany. After that final show, Kelce will jet back to the United States to link back up with the Chiefs and get ready for the 2024 NFL season.
It remains to be seen if Kelce will even stay on tour for the entire month. Earlier this offseason, he jetted back from the worldwide tour to spend time and party with Patrick Mahomes, while also attending other events back in the United States.
Swift will return to North America in November, by which time the NFL season will be in full swing. She plays six nights at Toronto’s Rogers Center before concluding her tour with three nights at the BC Place in Vancouver in December.
Her final concert takes place on December 8 – the same time Kelce’s Chiefs will be contesting an AFC West divisional round match against the Los Angeles Chargers. After that Week 13 clash, the NFL will hope to see Swift in the stands for plenty of Chiefs games down the stretch.
