Mahomes said that Swift is a ” part of Chiefs Kingdom”

Mahomes sat down with CBS Mornings’ Nate Burleson and shared his thoughts on the events surrounding his teammate’s iconic romance and how the teammates responded when they first heard.

“At first, I feel like everybody kind of stayed away and let [Kelce] do what he was doing,” Mahomes said.

The two-time Super Bowl champion continued to express that the Chiefs quickly embraced Swift after they got to know her.

“Then he started bringing Taylor around and we realized how cool of a person she was. So for us, there was a couple jokes here and there at the beginning,” he said.

“But now, she’s just part of Chiefs Kingdom. She’s part of the team.”

Mahomes also talked about how “cool” it is to see his wife, Brittany, and Swift become friends.

“It’s cool that she’s embraced Brittany, and they’ve built a friendship as well,” he said.

“[Kelce is] lucky enough to be with a great girl and a great woman. She’s top tier at her profession. It’s really cool to hear about and to see.

“Now I have a first-hand look at that through Brittany’s and Travis’s eyes.”

Brittany and Taylor have been spotted sitting together at multiple games throughout the season.

She took to Instagram to share photos featuring her and Swift during the Chiefs Week 13 clash against the Green Bay Packers.

The two stunned as they watched the Cheifs play while watching from the press box and sidelines at the historic Lambeau field in Wisconsin.

Kansas City will face the Las Vegas Raiders at home for their Week 16 Chrismas Day match, and according to Page Six, Swift will “for sure be at the games.”

The Chiefs enter their Week 16 Chrismas Day clash with a 9-5 record and sit atop their division in the AFC West.
