Prosecutors are reportedly moving to get the felony charges against Jackson Mahomes dropped, claiming the alleged victim is no longer cooperating.

Jackson, the 23-year-old younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was accused of forcibly kissing a restaurant owner inside her Overland Park establishment back in February 2023.

But she has now told prosecutors that she no longer wants to press charges, according to TMZ.

Officials at the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office in Kansas filed a motion to dismiss the three counts of aggravated sexual battery against Jackson on Tuesday with a judge expected to make a ruling on Wednesday afternoon.

The court document state that the alleged victim wants ‘the matter to be dismissed as to anything involving’ her.

It claimed that she said that she told prosecutors that she would say ‘that she had not been truthful to the police and that the encounter with [Jackson] was consensual.’

Despite her reluctance, prosecutors said they still wanted to move forward with the case, given the alleged incident was captured in its entirety on surveillance footage’, but the alleged victim has made it clear she no longer wishes to be involved.

‘Like I said from the beginning,’ Jackson’s attorney, Brandon Davies, said in a statement to FOX 4 on Tuesday.

‘Jackson has done nothing wrong. We had full confidence that the truth of the matter would ultimately be revealed. The defense will reserve further comment until the remaining count is disposed of.’

He is expected to attending Wednesday’s hearing in-person.

If the three felony counts are dismissed, Jackson would be left facing just one misdemeanor battery charge, which stems from an allegation he shoved a waiter at the restaurant on the same night.

Jackson was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of battery after the incident at Aspen’s Restaurant and Lounge in Overland Park, Kansas, on February 25.

Jackson, who has developed his own identity as a social media influencer and is known for his outlandish behavior at NFL games, allegedly grabbed a woman and kissed her against her will.

Investigators said Jackson also shoved a waiter at the restaurant who tried to come into a room where he was with the alleged victim. After the waiter left, Mahomes grabbed her by the throat and forcefully kissed her three different times without her consent, according to a court document.

She told police Jackson was a friend of her stepdaughter and had caused trouble and been asked to leave the restaurant in the past.

According to the affidavit, two servers in the area did not hear her call for help but later confirmed that she told them about the assault and showed them a bruise on her neck.

The younger Mahomes has been in the spotlight for viral behavior on TikTok, but has also stirred up some controversy with his antics on the sidelines at his brother’s games.

In 2021, he poured water on a Baltimore Ravens fan after a Chiefs loss in an incident that was caught on video. He then tweeted: ‘They were thirsty.’

A month later, just after the Chiefs played the Washington Commanders, Jackson shared a video of himself dancing on a tribute to late Washington player Sean Taylor, who died in 2007.

He was called out on social media and he apologized for the incident on Twitter, writing, ‘I want to sincerely apologize for accidentally being on the Sean Taylor #21 at FedEx Field. We were directed to stand in that area and I meant absolutely no disrespect to him or his family.’
