Kim Kardashian & Taylor Swift Are Allegedly Brawling Again — Over a Coveted Film Role!

So, you know how all eyes have been on the Bodyguard remake? While people were convinced Taylor Swift would take the lead role, which was once Whitney Houston’s, it seems she may be battling over the role with someone else: Kim Kardashian.
While the 1992 movie, The Bodyguard, starring Houston and Kevin Costner, is being reimagined, per Deadline, there’s not much known about the remake. All we do know is that the director attached is Sam Wrench, who directed Swift’s concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. Because of this, many pointed the fingers at Swift to be the new lead, but now, insiders claim it could go to Kardashian.
Everyone immediately assumed Taylor would get the lead, the role played by Whitney Houston in the original film, because The Bodyguard remake is being directed by Sam Wrench who directed the 2023 film about Taylor’s Eras Tour. But Warner Bros, the studio remaking the original, is very keen on Kim,” insiders told DailyMail in April 2025. “There have already been multiple meetings and the script has been written with Kim in mind.”
Per IMDb, Kardashian has over 30 acting credits, and as for Swift, she has two guest star roles, four film roles, and one voice role; so they’re no strangers to the big screen. The Bodyguard reboot is still in the pre-production stage and no release date has been set.
But now, Kardashian and Swift are back to brawling, allegedly.
So, if you need a recap on the feud between the two, it goes all the way back to 2016, also known as the incident that helped inspire her Reputation era. Back then, Kardashian’s ex-husband Kanye West came out with a song called “Famous,” which had the line “Might have sex with Taylor Swift / Why? I made that b***h famous.”
Now, this song started it all, because while West claimed Swift gave him permission (and Kardashian released a video of her agreeing to it), Swift says otherwise. She claimed that the video Kardashian took was “manipulated” and “illegally recorded.”
Kardashian gave her final statement on the feud in 2020. She wrote: “To be clear, the only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that ‘Kanye never called to ask for permission…’ They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied the word ‘bitch’ was used without her permission.”
However, it was declared that the video posted wasn’t 100 percent authentic, per Taste of Country.
Then in 2024, Swift fired back with a song “thanK you aIMee,” Swift sang a lyric that said: “I changed your name and any real defining clues. And one day, your kid comes home singin’ a song that only us two is gonna know is about you
