News Now:A New Source Just Revealed Exactly Where Taylor Swift & Kim Kardashian Stand Years After Their Infamous Feud
In her recent headline-making Person of the Year cover for Time, Taylor Swift talked about everything, from the timeline of her relationship with new beau Travis Kelce to her intense workout routine ahead of the Eras Tour. And, in one subject everyone had seemingly forgotten about, Swift also unburied her longtime feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
As a reminder, West and Swift’s feud began when West infamously cut off Swift’s speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009 after she won the Best Female Music Video award. A few years later, the feud took a whole other level when West released his song “Famous” where he rapped that he “might still have sex” with Swift because he “made that b— famous.”
As for how Kardashian came into the picture, The Kardashians star went on to defend her then-husband after backlash. On Instagram, the Skims founder posted an alleged edited video of West receiving approval from Swift to use her name in the song.
Now, many years later, Swift opened up about her side of the story. “You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” she told Time.
The whole debacle, according to Swift, was detrimental for such an important phase in her career. “That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before,” she admitted. “I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”
Following her candid confession of the time, sources are now giving fans an update on where Kardashian and Swift currently stand. Per TMZ, they two are not on good terms as Kardashian has yet to apologize.
And while that may be true, sources say Swift is willing to put the bad blood behind her under one condition. “We’re told Taylor would actually accept an apology from Kim on this issue, even all these years later, but only under one specific condition … it would have to be done publicly,” the outlet reported, adding that “public shaming calls for a public ‘I’m sorry.’”
And although we can’t guarantee Kardashian will be doing that anytime soon, we hope they can figure their years-long feud somehow soon. After all, these Hollywood powerhouses should lift each other up and not push each other down.
