NFL fanatics are being offered the chance to rest their head in the same place where Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes grew up—after his childhood home was put on the market for just $285,000.
The dwelling in Tyler, TX, has been listed for sale by Mahomes’ mom, Randi, who made the decision to offload the property after Patrick and his brother, Jackson, surprised her with a brand-new $825,000 abode back in March.
Mahomes, 29, teamed up with his wife, Brittany, 29, and Jackson, 24, to gift Randi the newly constructed, four-bedroom house.
After adjusting to life in her new pad, Randi has decided the time is right to bid farewell to her sons’ childhood home, which boasts three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
In a statement shared with Realtor.com®, Randi described the moment as “bittersweet” as she revealed her plans for her new home, where she will be living with her youngest child, daughter Mia.
Patrick Mahomes’ childhood home has hit the market for $285,000—just one month after he and his brother, Jackson, splashed out $825,000 on a Texas abode for their mom, Randi
In March, the 29-year-old Kansas City Chiefs star player teamed up with his wife, Brittany, 29, and Jackson, 24, to gift Randi a newly constructed, four-bedroom home
“It’s bittersweet but it’s time for a change and Mia and I are so excited to have a new place to decorate and make a home and now I have a large space for those grand babies.
“There were a lot of tears and laughter and memories in that house but it’s time to let a new family start to build their dream there now!” she explained.
The home, which was put on the market two days ago, was purchased in 2006 for an undisclosed amount.
For the past two decades, Randi and her family have filled the property with heartwarming memories—with one image shared with Realtor.com revealing the spot where Patrick, Jackson, and Mia’s height measurements were measured on a doorframe.
While it’s understood that this will be removed from the property before it is sold in order to serve as a sentimental reminder of the family’s time living at the dwelling, there are plenty of other special touches to enjoy throughout.
Inside, the three bedrooms feature carpet flooring and large windows.
There is also a chic kitchen that comes complete with a marble countertop and grey cabinetry.
Outside, there is a large backyard that features lush landscaping.
The listing, which is held by Tristan X. Mosher of Coldwell Banker Apex, describes the home as a “chance to own a special piece of East Texas history, the childhood home of NFL star Patrick Mahomes!”
“Tucked away on a quiet street at 3110 Oleander Dr., this home offers both privacy and convenience, with easy access to local shops, dining, and schools,” the description continues.
“Inside, you’ll love the beautifully updated kitchen featuring new countertops, a stylish backsplash, KitchenAid appliances, and modern lighting that’s perfect for hosting friends and family.
“The home also boasts refreshed showers, a spacious backyard, and is located within the sought-after Whitehouse school district.”
The listing of her son’s childhood home comes after she was surprised with a new home by her sons and daughter-in-law.
At the time, the 52-year-old took to Instagram to reveal her shock and awe over the heartfelt gift, thanking her sons and her daughter-in-law for “this incredible blessing,” while sharing several images of herself posing outside the four-bedroom abode.
“Home is where the heart is—and my heart is full! Beyond grateful for my amazing family and my grandbabies for this incredible blessing,” she wrote.
“Being a Mom and Grandi is the greatest joy of my life, and I’m so thankful for the love that surrounds me every day. Here’s to new memories, laughter, and love in this beautiful new home!”
In one of the photos, Randi can be seen standing outside her new front door, posing with the keys in her hands—while the other image captures a full view of the property, as well as the perfectly manicured lawn that surrounds the front path to the door.
The home, which was completed only this year, has fresh flower beds lining the exterior front wall, while two newly planted trees line the path to the front door from the road.
Jackson, who works primarily as a social media influencer, chimed in in the comments section of the post to write, “Love you momma.”
Property records indicate that the home, which was listed in February, is pending sale. However, the land on which the newly built dwelling sits was purchased in 2023.
The new home boasts a formal dining room, a butler’s pantry, and a primary suite with a spa bathroom complete with a floating tub.
Randi later took to her Instagram Stories to share more details about the big reveal, dubbing it the “surprise of my life.”
Although Patrick lives primarily in Belton, MO, where he, Brittany, and their three children reside in a custom-built megamansion on a staggering 8 acres, Martin hails from Texas, where she raised her two sons.
Today, Randi dubs herself the “QB producer” on her website, a nod to Mahomes, who has quickly risen to become one of the most successful players in recent NFL history, delivering three Super Bowl championships.
Patrick, who was selected by the Chiefs in 2017, brought the team to its first Super Bowl appearance in 50 years in the 2019 season, claiming a win against the San Francisco 49ers. Kansas City has since won the Super Bowl twice more with Patrick.
