Jonathan Owens is winning at life.
Owens married gymnastics legend Simone Biles earlier this year and then, a week later, he signed with the Green Bay Packers.
It’s taken a while for him to find his footing with the Packers but the 28-year-old is coming off a breakout game on Sunday in the team’s 20-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams, forcing his first fumble of his career.
With his name in more headlines this season, given his connection to Biles as she’s made her triumphant gymnastics comeback, his face has been front-and-center frequently in the pop culture world.
People Magazine is taking notice and it likes what it sees.
Owens is one of 21 sports figures in the world named as People Magazine’s “Sexiest Men in Sports.” That list was included in the magazine’s annual “Sexiest Man Alive” issue, which featured actor Patrick Dempsey as the Sexiest Man Alive.
People Magazine said about Owens: “Simone Biles really stuck the landing when she married one of the NFL’s hottest players, Owens. Who wouldn’t flip head over heels for this Green Bay Packers safety?”
Owens was one of five NFL players who made the list. Brothers Travis Kelce ( Kansas City Chiefs tight end and boyfriend of Taylor Swift) and Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl champion center Jason Kelce, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios were the other NFL players on the list.
Former Marquette men’s basketball star and Milwaukee Bucks villain Jimmy Butler was another Wisconsin connection who made the list.
