REPORT: Travis Kelce’s Licensing Income Sees 177% Increase Owing To High-Profile Relationship With Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce is on track to become the face of the NFL. In a sport where headlines, endorsements and big-money contracts are often associated with quarterbacks, Kelce is breaking the mold. The tight end is receiving a ton of help from his world-renowned girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Although Kelce has been in the NFL since 2013, his profile received a massive boost after being linked with Swift. Recently, Sportico conducted research to compile a list of the highest-earning players in the NFL, considering both their franchise contracts and off-field earnings from endorsements and other ventures.
Kelce has seen a remarkable 177% increase in his licensing income (per Sportico), largely driven by his association with Swift. In total, he is set to earn $30 million from his off-field activities, the highest by any player as per Sportico.
The nine-time Pro Bowler has also eclipsed his teammate Patrick Mahomes in this regard, with the QB being second-overall with $27 million in off-field income. Kelce will earn $17 million as per his contract with the Chiefs this year as well.
Overall, Kelce is 11th on the list of the highest earners. Most of the men on it are QBs and WRs, Kelce being the only TE.
