Taylor Swift fans slam Travis Kelce for joining controversial country star Morgan Wallen on stage… while singer wore Harrison Butker’s jersey number
Fans of Travis Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift weren’t too happy when the Chiefs tight end stepped out with Morgan Wallen at his concert in Kansas City.
The controversial country crooner, who was once arrested for hurling a chair off a roof and was caught using racial slurs, appeared to support Kelce’s teammate Harrison Butker by wearing his No 7 jersey.
The kicker made headlines earlier this year when he claimed women are destined to be ‘homemakers’ while giving a commencement address at Benedictine College.
Butker’s speech was packed full of conservative ideology, not only on gender roles, but also about abortion and vaccines.
After Wallen walked out at Arrowhead Stadium, flanked by Kelce and his teammates Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones, he reportedly told the crowd to ‘always stand up for what [they] believe in.’
A third echoed the sentiment, ‘birds of [a] feather stick together,’ while another wrote, ‘@taylorswift13 ok it’s time to dump.’
Both Mahomes and Kelce have said they don’t share Butker’s views, however Kelce said said he ‘cherishes’ Butker as a teammate.
Meanwhile, the quarterback said he believes the kicker is ‘a great person.’
And that might not be the same values as I have,’ Mahomes said during a press conference in May.
‘But at the same time, I’m going to judge him by the character that he shows every single day and that’s a great person. And we’ll continue to move along and try to help build each other up to make ourselves better every single day.’
Patrick’s wife Brittany was also on hand to watch the trio of NFL players walk alongside Wallen to the tune of ‘WHISKEY WHISKEY’ by Moneybagg Yo, featuring Wallen.
‘Look at my boys!’ she was heard saying in a post on her Instagram Story.
