Travis Kelce gears up to propose to Taylor Swift as rumours swirl over ‘father’s blessing’
Travis Kelce is rumoured to be planning a proposal to pop superstar Taylor Swift, having allegedly sought her father’s approval.
The NFL star and the singer have been dating for about a year, spending as much time together as their busy schedules permit. Speculation about an impending engagement has been rife for several months, with their relationship seemingly flourishing since they first appeared in public together last September.
Page Six reported a few months into their relationship that Kelce had already asked Swift’s father for his blessing to propose. Now, the same outlet suggests that an engagement could be on the cards very soon. Swift has shown her support for Kelce by attending 13 NFL games this past season, even flying 13 hours from Tokyo to watch him win the Super Bowl, pausing her tour to do so.
Kelce has reciprocated the support, watching Swift perform in Argentina, Australia, France and England during her Eras tour. However, the couple has recently spent some time apart, with Swift continuing her European tour while Kelce has returned to training camp with the Chiefs, reports the Mirror US.

It’s reported that Swift will return to Kansas City after her European tour concludes later this month, where she spent much of the 2023 season with Kelce.
As the 2023 NFL season wrapped up, buzz emerged that Travis Kelce had a heart-to-heart with Scott Swift about marrying Taylor. “Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring,” an insider reportedly spilled to Page Six.
Kelce was spotted hanging out with Scott in the VIP area at a gig in Argentina, and Taylor’s dad was seen donning Chiefs attire at the Super Bowl in Travis’ box despite being a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles supporter.
Travis recently inked a deal to stick with the Chiefs for another two seasons, quashing any whispers of him hanging up his boots after the 2024 season. Kelce is now gunning to be part of the first NFL squad to clinch three back-to-back Super Bowl titles in the coming year.
