The reigning Super Bowl champions were beaten 20-14 at Arrowhead on Monday. It was the Chiefs’ fifth defeat in eight games and leaves them at 9-6.

‘We literally played Santa and gave them a present,’ the tight end said about a performance littered with errors.

Patrick Mahomes gifted Las Vegas two defensive touchdowns in the space of seven seconds, while Kelce slammed his helmet to the ground and clashed with head coach Andy Reid as girlfriend Taylor Swift watched on.

And speaking on the latest episode of his ‘New Heights’ podcast, Kelce opened up on the ‘f***ing frustration’ he and his teammates are experiencing. The tight end even accused Chiefs players of ‘not being accountable’.

‘That was embarrassing. Everybody in the building knows how embarrassing that was. We got a short week so we’re going to forget about this s*** real quick,’ he said.

‘It’s a f***ing frustrating experience right now and every single day we’re trying to fix it. I promise you guys.

‘It’s not just one. It’s not just me playing dog s***… we played so trash as an offense that we put the defense in a really tough spot at the end of the game. It’s frustrating when you’ve got the guys you need and things aren’t going your way.’

The Chiefs are still on course to win the AFC West but their hopes of a fourth Super Bowl appearance in five seasons appear to be fading fast.

The Bengals visit Arrowhead on New Year’s Eve and Kelce admitted Kansas City are no longer finding ways to win – like they have in seasons passed.

‘We just can’t catch a rhythm and it’s not just the Raiders. It’s been a lot of teams that we’ve played,’ the tight end continued.

‘We’ve taken a lot of learning shots and unfortunately not been able to win those games when we’ve managed to find a way to in the past. Special teams, same thing. It’s really just our defense that’s keeping us in games.

He added: ‘It’s not just not being able to get the run game going. It’s not just us not being on the same page passing-wise. Everybody is in this together. Everybody at some point isn’t being accountable.’
