Travis Kelce Reveals Why Taylor Swift Won’t Be Coming to Cheer Him On Anymore – Fans Beg for a Change of Heart
Travis Kelce has returned to Arrowhead Stadium for the first time since becoming a three-time Super Bowl champion in the spring, as he gets himself up to speed ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
The 34-year-old tight end was spotted arriving at his team’s home base on Saturday ahead of the Chiefs’ preseason home game against the Detroit Lions. Sporting an all-black look which included a classic Nike t-shirt and some Chicago Bulls basketball shorts, Kelce smiled to the camera while looking locked in behind his shades and earpods.
He briefly played in last week’s 26-13 away loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, being on the receiving of one reception for seven yards. Barely 24 hours ago, Kelce’s dad, Ed, launched a fresh attack on Kanye West after the rapper mentioned the NFL’er and his popstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift, in his latest diss track.
‘I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce,’ Lil’ Wayne raps on his verse of the song, which appears on West’s album, Vultures 2.
Bringing up the bar on Facebook, Ed said in response to DailyMail.com’s story about West’s new lyrics on Aug. 8: ‘I feel the need to clarify that my comment on Kanye West was not so much a criticism as it was my thoughts on his mental health. ‘His behaviors and comments beyond Taylor indicate a paranoia and over-inflated sense of self worth.
‘While it would be easy to attribute his actions to drug use, throughout history there’s been no shortage of clean and sober people displaying the same traits. This is a talented guy and hopefully he’s getting help with these issues.’
Kelce’s first preseason game in Kansas City also comes fresh off the back of his first reviews for hosting ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity.’ Actress Garcelle Beauvais was one of the guests on the show and exclusively told ET about her experience with the Chiefs tight end as a host.
