Travis Kelce’s Chiefs teammate Rashee Rice has opened up on life behind the scenes in Kansas City with Taylor Swift as the team’s new biggest fan.

Thousands of Swifties have become Chiefs fans since it emerged in September that the pop star is dating tight end Kelce, and his teammate Rice opened up on the impact of that in an appearance on the Airing It Out podcast.

‘I’m happy for Trav and she is real good with support for the team. She has brought a lot more fans to the team too,’ the 23-year-old said.

‘I’ve seen her, but I didn’t go up to her like “can I get a picture” or nothing like that.

‘You know, those guys like Trav and Pat (Mahomes), they invite us out because they know that we are the only guys that see them every day and see them as who they really are and not “bro you’re a superstar football player”.

Rice also praised Swift for the support she has given the Chiefs in the last few months

‘No, it’s just Pat. It’s just Trav. And I wouldn’t go up to another dude’s girl and be like “I get a picture with you”.

‘If my girl was out I’d be like “can we get a picture with the girls together” but I’ve got nothing to do with that. But I’m happy for Trav.’

Rice, a wide receiver for the Chiefs, can expect to see more of Swift over the course of the holidays.

She is expected to be at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas Day when the Chiefs play the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL.

Six days later, Swift will likely be back at Arrowhead for the New Year’s Eve game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Chiefs returned to winning ways last week – with Swift watching on – with a 27-17 win over New England Patriots for their record to stand at 9-5 for the season.

‘It was not an easy one, we managed to put up some points,’ Kelce said on New Heights this week. ‘We played a well-rounded team game, all three phases getting after it. Unfortunately, we need to cut back on the turnovers as an offense.’

Last year’s Super Bowl winners have wobbled in recent weeks with losses against the Buffalo Bills, the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.

After playing the Bengals, the Chiefs round out the regular season in LA against the Chargers before the playoffs.
