AFox News reporter claims the slump in Travis Kelce’s form is due to Taylor Swift, following the Kansas City star’s tough start to the season, although he’s had uptakes in performances against the Los Angeles Chargers and New Orleans Saints.
The 35-year-old only managed to make eight receptions for 69 yards through the opening three weeks of the 2024/25 NFL season as fans feared he finally hit the age wall and was poised for a significant physical decline.
Yet Patrick Mahomes dismissed this and said all he needs is more targets after being kept out of the game by rival defenses and that appears to be the case after he combined for 16 receptions (19 targets) for 159 yards in Week 4 and 5.
However, some people still feel his girlfriend is to blame. Kelce began a relationship with Swift in August 2023 and despite going on to win the Super Bowl that season, critics still allege she caused a downturn in form, including the Fox host.
“He decided he wanted to be a Swiftie,” the host claimed. “And now his game has decreased. The fall of every great man is always a woman.”
