Travis Kelce’s two-word reply speaks volumes when addressing Taylor Swift ‘love’
Mitch Holthus, the voice of the Kansas City Chiefs, admitted his love for Taylor Swift at the team’s annual preseason Kickoff Luncheon, with Travis Kelce responding.
During the Kansas City Chiefs’ annual preseason Kickoff Luncheon, play-by-play announcer Mitch Holthus expressed his affection for team members including Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, Harrison Butker, Nick Bolton, Justin Reid, and Chris Jones.
The players reciprocated with their own declarations of love. Holthus cheekily asked Kelce if he loved him “more than Taylor [Swift]? ” to which the star tight end jovially replied: “Maybe not.”
The announcer then followed up to Mahomes, saying “I won’t [mention your wife] Brittany, I won’t hold you up to that. Don’t want to get you in trouble.”
This isn’t the first time Kelce has publicly professed his love for his Grammy-winning girlfriend. After Kansas City’s AFC Championship win over the Baltimore Ravens, Kelce was heard saying “I love you” to Swift.
The luncheon took place at the Loews Kansas City Hotel downtown on Wednesday evening, but Swift was not present. NFL Today recently saw an awkward exchange between Adam Schefter and host Laura Routledge about Kelce’s relationship with Swift.
Schefter brought up Kelce’s recent purchase of a racehorse, leading Routledge to question why he hadn’t bought an engagement ring yet. “Laura, how do you know that Travis Kelce didn’t buy an engagement ring? ” Schefter retorted.
The loved-up duo, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, have been apart recently due to Swift’s hectic tour schedule and Kelce’s preseason commitments with the Chiefs. Yet, insiders at Entertainment Tonight reveal, “Taylor and Travis always prioritize each other even when they are physically apart. They are still in constant communication texting and FaceTiming each other.”
Travis sends Taylor flowers and loves to shower her with surprise gifts and tokens of gratitude. Their connection is unlike anything that they’ve ever experienced before.”
Chiefs fans await with bated breath as Kansas City gears up to open the 2024 season at the electric Arrowhead Stadium against the Baltimore Ravens a heated rematch of the previous AFC Championship game.
It looks like Swift will be among the crowd cheering on, having been seen at seven home games last year where the Chiefs boasted a 5-2 win record, including the icy triumph over Miami Dolphins in the AFC Wild Card bout.
