Kim Kardashian Shares the Unique Way She Gets Psalm ‘To Go to School’ & We’ve Never Felt More Seen
All the money in the world doesn’t protect you from hard-headed 5-year-olds. When they set their mind on something, 500 horses couldn’t drag them away from it. It’s true for my 5-year-old son — and for Kim Kardashian’s 5-year-old son Psalm. So, when she needs to get Psalm in the car and on the way to school on time (a daily struggle!), Kardashian handles it in a unique way.
The SKIMS founder shared a parenting confession on her Instagram story today that is so relatable. “Sometimes this is the only way I can get my kids out of the door to go to school 💚🤣” she wrote over a picture of Psalm buckled up in his car seat. Instead of regular clothes, Psalm is dressed head-to-toe in a Hulk costume, complete with oversized gloves in the shape of fists and a full face mask. You can’t see his expression, buy the way he tilts his head to the side and holds up is gloves proves he’s not someone you want to mess with.
“Can’t fight the fight today! Hulk it is!” Kardashian finished. (If you haven’t been there with your kid, then you’re lying — or very, very lucky.) My now-6-year-old practically lived in his Spider-Man costume for two years, so I completely get where Kardashian is coming from. Sometimes, it’s just easier to lose the battle than to fight for regular clothes.
Psalm turned 5 last month, and The Kardashians star praised him on Instagram. “My baby! My sweet, smart, silly, independent baby boy turns 5 years old today!” she wrote on Instagram on Thursday. “I can’t tell you how blessed I feel to be your mom! Your calm energy is much appreciated in our house hold lol.”
Kardashian, who shares Psalm and kids Chicago, 6, Saint, 8, and North, 10, with ex Kanye West, also opened up about how much Psalm loves super heroes. “You prove you can be the hulk, spider man or an archeologist any day of the week!” she said. “ I’ve never met someone who sleeps more than you do and one day I will show you the entire photo album I’ve made of your sleeps!”
