Nicki Minaj would collaborate with Taylor Swift ‘in a heartbeat’

Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj perform onstage during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards at Microsoft Theater on August 30, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.

Nicki Minaj has thrown her hat in the ring to make lyrical gold (or pink, if the Barbz leader has her way) with fellow music royalty Taylor Swift, praising the “Anti-Hero” singer’s record-breaking success with vinyl sales.

When asked by a fan if she’d ever collaborate with Swift, the “Barbie World” rapper shouted out her fellow “SAG[ITTARIUS] QUEEN,” adding that she’d work with her “in a heartbeat.”

The question was in response to a thread from the Trinidadian-born artist, in which she celebrated Swift’s success with vinyl sales as well as that of her own long-awaited album “Pink Friday 2,” which debuted on top of the Billboard 200 earlier this month.

“We broke the record in vinyl sales for any female rap album in history,” said the 12-time Grammy nominee. “That means that retailers had no way of knowing that the vinyls would be in such high demand. Either way, now they do!”

She went on to thank the “Cruel Summer” singer-songwriter — who is both a newly minted billionaire and Time’s Person of the Year — along with Swift’s fans for having “put in the work.”

“Now it’s our turn. This is a CELEBRATION!!!!!” Minaj added. “We have something to aspire to as we watch the SAG QUEEN Taylor & the Swifties & Republic Records.”

Earlier this year, Billboard reported that Swift’s “Midnights” album had the biggest vinyl sales week “in the modern era,” according to data dating back to 1991.

In 2022, the superstar “sold more vinyl LPs in the U.S. than any other act by far,” the outlet reported. With 1.695 million sold across her entire catalog that year, Swift accounted for 1 out of every 25 vinyl albums sold in the country.
